Gentile, Moran selected in MLB Draft

Cal Poly San Luis Obispo outfielder D.J. Gentile (Casa Grande) was selected in the 43rd round of the Major League Baseball Draft by the Cleveland Indians and Sonona State pitcher Gary Moran was selected in the 41st round by the San Francisco Giants.
Gentile, who will be a redshirt junior, hit .304 with five homers and 41 RBIs for the Mustangs, who went 37-21 and reached the NCAA Tournament.
Moran, the West Region Pitcher of the Year, went 7-2 with a 1.37 ERA for the Seawolves. A native of Madera and transfer from Fresno City College, Moran finished his SSU career with a 15-5 record and 2.26 ERA.
