Former Petaluma High star Sam Banister will help lead the Arizona softball team into the Women’s College World
Series in Oklahoma City when the Wildcats meet
the University of
Florida in a first-round
game which will televised at 6 p.m. today on ESPN.

Banister, a senior infielder, is hitting .313 with 16 homers
and 57 RBIs this season. She hit a homer in Arizona’s 6-5 win over Stanford last week in
an NCAA Super Regional, a victory that sent the Wildcats to the WCWS for the 21st
time.
