Former Montgomery High and Boise State basketball star Tyler Tiedeman ruptured his achilles tendon last week while playing professionally in Spain.

Tiedeman, a 6-foot-7 forward, was averaging 10.0 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting .357 from three-point range in 24 games for Basquet Mallorca. Tiedeman underwent surgery in Spain and will miss the rest of the season.

As a senior at Boise State, Tiedeman averaged 13.9 points and had a .488 three-point percentage to help lead the Broncos to a 25-9 record and into the NCAA Tournament, where they lost to Louisville in the first round.
