SRJC men’s basketball: Cousins, Gipson commit to Hawaii schools

by admin

Santa Rosa Junior College freshman forward Matt Cousins and sophomore point guard Andrew Gipson have verbally committed to four-year schools.

The 6-foot-8 Cousins has committed to Division II Chaminade University in Honolulu. Gipson has committed to Division II Hawaii at Hilo. Chaminade and Hilo are both members of the Pacific West Conference.

Cousins, who attended Cardinal Newman, averaged 14.6 points and 7.3 rebounds this past season for the Bear Cubs. The 5-10 Gipson, who attended Salesian High, averaged 10.0 points and a team-high 3.2 assists.

I’ll write a story on the commitments that will appear in Thursday’s Press Democrat.
