The Seawolves finished its first week of the season with a 5-0 record. As a result, their second week of the season began with some honors.

SSU senior shortstop Leo Avila was named the CCAA Player of the Week and junior pitcher Cameron Ray was named the CCAA Pitcher of the Week on Monday on the heels of the Seawolves’ impressive opening.

Avila hit .714 (5 of 7), reached base in 11 of 13 plate appearances and had a homer and seven RBIs. In two appearances, Ray tossed six scoreless innings while allowing three hits and striking out 10. Ray limited opponents to a .143 batting average.
