Santa Rosa Junior College all-state cornerback Brandon Driver, who has committed to San Jose State, is among at least seven Bear Cubs who will sign national letters of intent on Signing Day.

A pair of local stars, all-state wide receiver Brandyn Reed (Windsor) and defensive lineman Donnie Pritchett (Santa Rosa), are still mulling scholarship offers. Pritchett is deciding between Kansas and Fresno State. Reed has received offers from Sacramento State, Akron and Old Dominion. SRJC coach Keith Simons said Cal has recently expressed an interest in Reed, but hasn’t made an offer.

Other Bear Cubs who will sign next week include: Offensive lineman Riordan Gomez of Casa Grande (Humboldt State), offensive lineman Ryan Jensen of Petaluma (Old Dominion), linebacker Shane Clancy of Montgomery (Northern State) and cornerback Diamond Weaver (Akron).

Driver had received offers from schools such as UCLA, Kansas and Kansas State, but many schools withdrew their offers after Driver tore his ACL in SRJC’s final game of the season.
