Sonoma State senior outside hitter Kristy Sather, a Santa Rosa native, has been to the AVCA honorable-mention All-American team to become the first SSU player to earn All-American recognition in the program’s 18-year history.

Sather led the Seawolves in kills with 372 (3.48 a set) and solo blocks (24) as SSU went 23-7 to set a school record for winning percentage and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1993.

Despite playing just two years at SSU, Sather finished her career ranked ninth in school history with 745 kills.
