Silas Stafford (Santa Rosa High, ’04) was recently named to the Pac-10 Conference men’s rowing team for the second consecutive year. Stafford, a geological and environmental science major with 3.71 GPA, was also named to the Pac-10 all-academic team.

Stafford, a senior, helped lead the Stanford varsity eight to a fifth-place finish at the national championships June 7 in Cherry Hills, N.J. It was the third-highest national finish in Stanford’s 106-year history.

Stafford has been invited to try out for the U.S. team that will row in the Under-23 World Championships in Brandenburg, Germany from July 17-20. Stafford was part of the U23 eight that finished fourth at the World Championships in Glasgow, Scotland last year.
