Sumpter named Big West Athlete of Week

UC Davis freshman Sarah Sumpter (Healdsburg) was named the Big West Conference Women’s Athlete of the Week after finishing 15th at the Pre-National meet in Terre Haute, Ind.
Sumpter finished the 6K course in 21 minutes, 21.9 seconds, lowering her previous best by three seconds. Sumpter helped lead the Aggies to a 15th-place finish.
