A strong showing at the national championships helped Sonoma State’s Spencer Heller earn Honorable Mention All-America honors from the National Golf Coaches Association.

Heller shot some of her best golf at NCAA Division II Championship, finishing tenth. She led Sonoma State to a fifth place finish. The Seawolves were ranked 14th going into the tournament at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Ariz.

The freshman from Turlock was the Seawolves’ low scorer on the season, setting a school record for stroke average at 77.2. She also tied the single-round record with a 69 at the Dominican Invitational.
