Accustomed to playing for winner, P.J. Sequeira enjoyed a pair of strong seasons at Oral Roberts, starting on teams that won two conference titles and played in the NCAA regional baseball playoffs.

A first-team All-Summit League first baseman both years, the former All-Empire player from Petaluma led the Golden Eagles this season in doubles with 20, batting .313 with 6 home runs and 42 runs batted in on the year.

Oral Roberts finished 36-27, winning a 13th consecutive league crown to reach the regional hosted and won by the University of Oklahoma. The Golden Eagles went 1-2, with Sequeira batting 3 for 5 in the final loss to North Carolina.

Before the move to Tulsa, Okla., Sequeira attended Santa Rosa Junior College. He made the Big 8 All-Conference team with the Bear Cubs.
