In a memorable baseball season for Hawaii Pacific, former Santa Rosa high standout Caelan O’Meara was Pacific West Conference Pitcher of the Year, helping the Sea Warriors to the NCAA West Regional finals.

O’Meara posted a 6-2 record with a 4.76 earned run average in 11 starts. He also tossed four complete games and had 55 strikeouts against just 22 walks in 64.1 innings pitched.

Hawaii Pacific went 39-12, winning the Pac West title before losing to UC San Diego in the NCAA Division II regional finals.

For his efforts, O’Meara also was selected to the All-PacWest First Team after receiving Second Team honors last season after going 7-2 in 11 starts with two complete games, a team high 66 strikeouts and a fine 3.79 earned run average.

An All-Empire pitcher at Santa Rosa high, O’Meara also was an All-Big 8 Conference pitcher for Santa Rosa Junior College.
