Santa Rosa Junior College is sending two more football players to the NCAA ranks with wide receiver Cameron Richmond and defensive lineman Andre Shishkin signing letters to play next fall.

Already on campus preparing for next season are Mitch Reab, at Eastern Illinois, and Jason Varret, at Texas Christian.

“Signing now says you’ve been recruited pretty hard,” said Santa Rosa coach Keith Simons. “Now you have a few guys falling through the cracks. We’ve got 12 to 15 more sophomores that will sign with somebody.”

Richmond, a NorCal Conference All-League selection with the Bear Cubs, will play for Idaho State. He graduated from Rodriguez high in Fairfield.

A Novato high graduate, Shishkin will play for Western Carolina.

Both Reab and Varret were eligible to enroll at their schools during the current semester based on academic standing coming out of high school.

An El Molino graduate, Reab was a NorCal Conference All-League offensive lineman for the Bear Cubs.

Varret, also from Rodriguez high, was a NorCal Conference All-League defensive back for the Bear Cubs.
