The 16th Annual Santa Rosa Junior College Hall of Fame Dinner will be held Saturday at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in Rohnert Park.
Santa Rosa Junior College Bear Cub Athletic Trust 2011 Athletic Hall of Fame Inductees:
Rick Call — Special Recognition. Call was a student-athlete 1967-69. Since 1992, he has served as a SRJC Board of Trustee member, currently its president. Call is a founding member of the Hall of Fame Committee.
DeeDee Baddeley — A rare three-sport letter winner, Baddeley played on Bear Cubs softball, volleyball and basketball teams including helping lead the the 1982 state championship softball squad led by coach Marv Mays.
Steve Tiedeman — In his one year with the Bear Cubs basketball team coached by Hank Cooper, Tiedeman was one of the top scorers in the California junior college ranks in 1970 and went on to star at Sonoma State.
1978 Football Team — The Bear Cubs won what was then the mythical California JC State Championship with an overall record of 11-0. Quarterbacked by Hall of Famer Harley Miller, and coached by legendary coach Marv Mays, the Bear Cubs played a very exciting brand of football.
The event features no-host cocktails at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner and the induction ceremony at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited. Tickets are $60. Call 527-4237.
