Former top Maria Carrillo swimmer Sydnie Alquist has earned conference honors for Vassar College, an NCAA Division III athletics program in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

The junior from Santa Rosa won all four of her events — the 50-yard freestyle (26.23), the 100-yard butterfly (1:03.15), the 200-yard medley relay (158.80), and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:45.70) – to earn Liberty League Swimmer of the Week. Alquist helped Vassar defeat Worcester Polytechnic Institute to open the 2011-12 swimming season.

Alquist is a 2009 graduate of Maria Carrillo.
