 After reaching the NCAA Division II West Region finals, four Sonoma State volleyball players have been named to the 2011 American Volleyball Coaches Association All-West Region Team.

Taylor Krenwinkel, Keala Peterson and Kelsey Hull earned first team honors and Hayley Ross was honorable mention.

Sonoma State tied Cal State San Bernardino and BYU-Hawai’i for the most selections in the west.

Krenwinkel, from San Diego, earned her third straight AVCA All-West Region award. She is now the Sonoma State record holder in digs, digs per set, reception percentage, and matches played.

Peterson, from Analy High, set school records for kills per set  and points per set.

Hull, from Valley Springs, was third on the Seawolves in kills and was a blocker at the net.

Ross, out of Petaluma high, was Sonoma State’s top setter. She led the California Collegiate Athletic Association in assists per set.

Five Sonoma State women’s volleyball players earned All-Conference honors.

Ally Sather, from Maria Carrillo, joined Peterson and Hull on the CCAA first team.
    Making the second team were Krenwinkel and Ross.

    A pair of SSU players also earned special recognition.
    Hull was named Newcomer of the Year. Regan Richert, from Bakersfield, received Freshman of the Year recognition.
    SSU and Cal State San Bernardino led the CCAA with five All-Conference selections each.
