Aiming for another strong season the Santa Rosa Junior College men’s soccer team opens in Hawaii against NCAA competition.
The Bear Cubs play exhibitions at BYU-Hawaii on Friday and at Hawaii Pacific on Saturday. Both opponents compete in the Pacific West Conference, an NCAA Division II league.
The Hawaii trip is an annual season opener for Santa Rosa that helps build team unity as well as provide very competitive games. Players help raise funds for the trip through a number of events.
Last season Santa Rosa went on to win the Big 8 Conference title and a first-round NorCal Regional playoff, and were nationally ranked.
