The midfielder also made the NSCAA All-West Region team, in addition to Player of the Year in the Big 8 Conference, where Whyte was fourth in goals scored.

Santa Rosa placed three other players on the Big 8 First Team: Francisco Garcia, a freshman defender from Montgomery, who led the conference in assists and was fourth in total points; Rogelio Alvarado, sophomore defender from Ukiah high; and Petter Lund, freshman midfielder, from Norway.

Second team conference honors went to: Dontae Garcia, freshman defender, Maria Carrillo; Roberto Garcia, freshman defender, Corning high; Victor Calderon, freshman midfielder, Armijo high, Fairfield.

After an uneven start to the season, Santa Rosa did not lose for a dozen games over two months.
