Santa Rosa Junior College’s success in women’s soccer this season is measured many ways including placing five players on the all-conference team.

Leading the group was Christina Rebata, Big 8 Conference Defensive MVP. The Casa Grande sophomore was a great two-way player, leading the conference in goals scored and second in total points.

Twin sister Courtney Rebata made all-conference as a midfielder, finishing fifth in goals scored in the Big 8. Conference assist leader Jill Anderson, a sophomore from Santa Rosa high, made the team as a defender. Midfielder Molly Schuster, a freshman from Analy, and defender Erica Cunningham, a sophomore from Ursuline, rounded out the group.

Santa Rosa finished second in the Big 8, the state’s toughest conference. The conference sent five teams to the California Community College Athletic Association tournament.

For the second consecutive season Santa Rosa split playoff games to finish 15-6-1 on the year. In the final rankings Santa Rosa was 11th statewide and 6th in Northern California.

Note: Mendocino College standout Ronnie Richter was selected to the 2013 NSCAA/Continental Tire Junior College Division III Women’s All-West Region Second Team. The sophomore midfielder from Mendocino high helped lead the Eagles to the state playoffs the past two seasons. Richter led the CCCAA in assists this year.
