Sonoma State standouts Keala Peterson, from Analy high, and Taylor Krenwinkel, from San Diego, earned spots on the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II All-West Region team following another fine Seawolves’ season.

The pair and Ally Sather, out of Maria Carrillo, also were named to the California Collegiate Athletic Association All-Conference team.

Peterson, an outside hitter, had a great all-around season. She finished second on the team in kills with 3.35 per set and third in digs. She should set the Sonoma State mark for kills next season.

Seawolves’ libero Krenwinkel led the team and was second in the conference with 4.91 digs per set. She is third on the Sonoma State career digs list.

As she did in her freshman season, Sather earned all league honors after finishing third in the CCAA with 3.52 kills per set – a team leading mark. Sather’s stellar play earned her conference player of the week honors.

The three will be back next season as Sonoma State aims for a return to the NCAA Division II West Regional playoffs. The Seawolves went 17-10 this season and lost in the first round of the regionals – the school’s third consecutive appearance.
