Jordan Freelander, the second leading scorer for the Santa Rosa Junior College men’s basketball team, will play for Western Oregon University next season.

The all-Big 8 Conference guard has signed a national letter of intent with the Division II school in Monmouth.

Freelander averaged 12 points per game and led the Bear Cubs in steals, finishing second on the Santa Rosa career list for steals.

The move returns Freelander to Oregon. He is a graduate of Central Catholic High School, in Portland, Ore.
