Sonoma State placed two players on Western Water Polo Association All-Conference teams, led by Laurel Stricklin, the Seawolves career leading scorer and second in the league this season.

Stricklin, a senior from Brea, scored 193 goals in four seasons with Sonoma State including 70 this year to earn first team honors. Scoring 2.19 goals a match, Stricklin converted 41 percent of her shots. She scored eight goals in a 17-16 double-overtime loss to nationally-ranked Cal State East Bay to earn WWPA Co-Player of the Week honors.

Lindsay Rangel was named to the WWPA All-Freshman Team. Making an immediate impact, Rangel, from Chino, started all 32 games. She was fourth in both scoring with 22 goals and assists with 16.

Sonoma State – 7-25 overall and 5-13 in WWPA play – takes on Chapman in the first round of the conference tournament Friday at Cal State Bakersfield.
