Sonoma State junior golfer Patrick Bauer has earned All-California Collegiate Athletic Association honors for the second consecutive season while leading the Seawolves to an expected NCAA Division II West Region Championship berth.

Also a two-time All-American, Bauer has recorded the golf team’s lowest per round average score of 73.8 this season. He has finished in the top ten of a tournament eight times and in the top five four times — both team highs.  Bauer has one tournament win on the season, at TMC Mustang Invitational.

Bauer’s career round average of 73.2 is second-best in school history behind Jarin Todd (71.7), and his two individual championships is also tied for second.

From Colfax High School in the Sierra foothills, Bauer was the conference’s freshman of the year in 2008.

Next up for the Seawolves is the regional tournament May 3-5 in Palm Desert.
